Chuck Dewald III - American Drying Institute
GENERAL BACKGROUND
Chuck Dewald III has been involved with the restoration industry for most of his life His father, Chuck Dewald, Jr., innovator of the Vortex Drying System, started the Chuck Dewald Drying Institute. Chuck III joined his father and became a teacher recognized for his expertise in the areas of Psychrometry, Thermodynamics, wood floor drying and using heat in drying various areas and materials.
Ten years ago, Chuck III started Chuck Dewald’s Structure Drying School, currently called the American Drying Institute. The purpose of this school was to bring about uniformity of drying practices and equipment, utilizing efficient and scientific methods. The goal of the school is to teach restorers and insurance adjusters how to dry buildings efficiently and effectively.
Chuck has developed new drying techniques and equipment through constant research and testing, playing an integral part in designing the equipment, drying systems and technology currently being used in the restoration field. Independent from distributors or manufacturers of drying equipment, insurance professionals and restoration companies rely upon the integrity of his methods for testing of industry equipment and concepts. Active in both management and consulting roles involving water damage, he is also called upon to do mitigation work at large-scale and regional disaster sites.

Alan Goeltz - Loss Recovery Group
GENERAL BACKGROUND
Alan Goeltz is the founder of Insurance Restoration Specialists, Inc. (IRS), a company that has become a leader in the restoration industry serving the super-competitive New York metropolitan area. Alan credits the success of IRS to efforts to be innovative within the restoration industry. IRS was the first company in the New York/New Jersey area to offer: pack-out of contents; environmental restoration for insurance companies; “one-stop” shopping concept for cleaning, construction and environmental services; shrinkwrap applications; content replacement; staff Industrial Hygienist for mold remediation.
For over ten years, Alan has maintained an active involvement with Disaster Kleenup International (DKI), a networking membership of American and Canadian restoration companies, having served in many capacities including President, Board Member, Marketing Concepts Development and Education Committee Chair.

Scott Tarpley - The Drying Team, Inc. Disaster Equipment, Inc.
GENERAL BACKGROUND
Tennessee native, Scott Tarpley, is Founder, President and CEO of The Drying Team, Inc., and Disaster Equipment, Inc. For more than 25 years, Scott has provided service to insurance companies, property owners and restoration companies. He has seen his businesses grow from local residential service providers into companies capable of assisting other restorers with drying needs and/or equipment, on a national and international level, capable of handling catastrophic events. A knowledgeable and engaging speaker, Scott has participated in many seminars, panel discussions and as an instructor for courses related to the restoration field. Along with other restoration industry leaders, Scott was invited to participate in a product demonstration for Dry-Pro to evaluate the drying process of a two story building and was honored to be part of this study of new, break-through drying equipment.
